Roedd y cais yn llwyddiannus.

To whom it may concern

I am looking for figures on how many Child Protection Orders were sought for children in the local authority within a week of their birth? I would also like to know how many of these children had been identified as in need of protection prior to birth.

I am looking for figures over the last five years from 2015 to 2020 under freedom of information legislation. It would be much appreciated if you could provide this figures as a spreadsheet attachment.

Please do send me an aknowledgment of this freedom of information request, and I look forward to receiving the information within 20 working days.

Yours sincerely,

Karin Goodwin

I have provided the following information in fulfilment of your request:

I am looking for figures on how many Child Protection Orders were sought
for children in the local authority within a week of their birth from 2015
to 2020?

2015       None

2016       <5

2017       <5

2018       <5

2019       None

2020       <5

I would also like to know how many of these children had been identified
as in need of protection prior to birth.

2015       None

2016       <5

2017       <5

2018       <5

2019       None

2020       <5

Please note – due to the very small numbers returned in preparing the
response to your enquiry, we are reporting them as <5 (less than 5) in
line with Scottish Government reporting. This is to limit the possibility
of any of the children being identified.
