Dear Glasgow City Council,

Can you provide me with copies of all correspondence between Ronnie O'Connor, John MacDonald, George Black and the staff (all members of school staff) of St Margaret Mary's Secondary School and Amey in relation to the gas supply system of the school.

Can you provide the same in respect of any unplanned closures of the school.

Can you confirm that George Black was informed by Ronnie O'Connor and/ or John MacDonald about the closure of the school during the 2005/2006 session. I would like to request copies of all correspondence, minutes of meetings and diary entries between the three named individuals. I would also like a copy of recommendations made to ensure there would be no recurrence of the situation that led to the school closure.

Can you confirm the date of retirement of Ronnie O'Connor, John MacDonald, Patrick Scanlan and the scheme under which they retired from Council employment (for example, early retirement scheme).

Can you confirm that each of the named individuals received what is termed within GCC as an "enhanced package" as part of their retirement.

Can you confirm that a meeting took place either in the school or at Wheatley House which was attended by Ronnie O'Connor and/or John MacDonald, Patrick Scanlan, the Regional Director of Amey and the Facilities Manager of Amey responsible for St Margaret Mary's Secondary School and a promoted member of teaching staff of the school at which the member of staff in question was instructed not to make use of the test function of the gas supply system.

Can you provide minutes and/or recorded details of this meeting and confirm the date and time and details of those in attendance.

Can you confirm that the same named individuals attended a later meeting at Wheatley House during February or March 2006 at which footage from a CCTV camera placed in the school by Scotshield at the request of Amey was viewed.

If no record of this meeting exists, can you confirm that a Director of Amey, Patrick Scanlan and Thomas Docherty (both of St Margaret Mary's Secondary School) signed in at Wheatley House to meet with Ronnie O'Connor and/ or John MacDonald during February or March 2006.

Can you confirm what the purpose of this meeting was as recorded at Reception in Wheatley House.

Can you confirm that Council electricians and/or engineers were dispatched to the school to sweep the building in a search for covert recording equipment placed in the school.

Can you provide me with a copy of the paperwork that relates to all placements of Council electricians and engineers to the school in question during February 2006.

Yours faithfully,

Paul Hughes
