Change to route of Crewe <-> Liverpool regulated flow

The request was successful.

Dear Sir / Madam,

At the May train fare setting round, the route of interavailable Crewe <-> Liverpool walk-up fares was changed from 'Any Permitted' (00000) to 'Not Via Manchest' (00254). According to documents released under a Freedom of Information Act 2000 request in 2012 (https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/r...), the interavailable 2BFP (Off-Peak Return) for this route is a regulated flow. At that time, as well as up to the May fare setting round, the interavailable fares were all routed 'Any Permitted'.

For any regulated flow's route to be changed, permission must first be obtained from Transport Focus. It can therefore be assumed that you hold information relating to the permission which the flow setter (West Midlands Trains) obtained before changing the route.

Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I would therefore like to request a copy of any documents or other material/information you hold in relation to the above permission. I would also like to request a copy of any documents etc. you hold in relation to any other permissions requested by West Midlands Trains (i.e. the current franchisee holder, not London Midland) to change the route of any other regulated flows.

Thank you in advance.

Yours faithfully,

Philip Edwards
