Celebrating Close Protection Security's Agreement with Teesside Airport
Dear Tees Valley Combined Authority,
Thank you for your reply to my FOI Request ref 07/2021, indicating that there was no communication between TVCA and the companies and individuals I listed, and that no contracts have been awarded to those companies and individuals by any entity within the TVCA Governance structures. However, I note that the Mayor was present at an event at Teesside Airport reported on 26th April 2019 celebrating an agreement with Close Protection Security and that he made this statement “I’ll be doing everything I can to ensure local businesses are at the front of the queue for new contracts".
Please provide
1. records showing how the Mayor first became aware that Close Protection Security was negotiating or had concluded this agreement
2. records of invitations or other arrangements for the Mayor's participation in this event and 3. records showing how the Mayor's commitment to “ensuring local business are at the front of the queue for new contracts” has been communicated to TIAL and how this has been minuted or otherwise incorporated in policy of any entities for which the Mayor or TVCA have responsibility or control.
Yours faithfully,
Kellen Hadfield
