Dear Mr Edwards,

Wirral Council thanks you for your request, we can confirm there is no
current intention for the Council to employ additional staff to undertake
monitoring of the Councils cctv cameras network at the Control Room in
Cheshire lines.

In accordance with Section 16 of the Act, in order to provide you with
relevant advice and assistance as we note the information you are
referring is at the below links, the Council can advise this Budget
proposal was put in place when there was a degree of uncertainty in
regards to the potential impact of police budgets, currently due to recent
CSR results the police can continue to monitor the cctv cameras.  In the
event the Councils situation changes any additional staff position(s) will
be advertised as per the Councils normal human resources procedures.
