Carmarthenshire County Councillors' Oath of Office

The request was successful.

Dear Carmarthenshire Council,

Please could you cite me full details of the "Oath of Office" as sworn by Carmarthenshire County Council Councillors prior taking up their formal roles as Elected Carmarthenshire Councillors.

Please advise as to whether the same "Oath of Office" citation applies to the Leader of the Council, and whether a replacement or additional "Oath of Office applies?

Please also advise as to whether the same "Oath of Office" citation applies to a Cabinet Member of the Council, and whether a replacement or additional "Oath of Office applies?

Finally, are all Carmarthenshire County Councillors duty bound to adhere in taking the Oath? In other words, has any serving Councillor chosen not to take the Oath?

Yours faithfully,

M Bowen
