Carers Allowance

David Taylor made this Freedom of Information request to Department for Work and Pensions This request has been closed to new correspondence. Contact us if you think it should be reopened.

Department for Work and Pensions did not have the information requested.

Dear Department for Work and Pensions,
Why are carers who claim carers allowance of 67.25 in England. That you claim off universal credit treated differently with regards to the carers if Scotland and Ireland. This is racist. Scottish carers get 10.00 extra, for the same criteria of carers allowance along with 2 extra payments of 230.00 throughout the year. Irish carers get a whole lot more. Yet the criteria is the same. Why are we being paid less for the same requirement of hours. Than those. That is incredibly racist against the carers of England.

Yours faithfully,

David Taylor

Dear Department for Work and Pensions,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Department for Work and Pensions's handling of my FOI request 'Carers Allowance'.

Your reply is un acceptable to the carers out there. You claim it’s gone up. Yet it is taken off universal credit. Do you claim that for most carers out there 24 hours a day care for 67.25 is acceptable. In which case that is clearly against our human rights. And I demand that you report yourselves. Point 2. This amount is robbed, off universal credit. Would you care to explain why, if you don’t classify us as working. And if you do classify us as working why is 0.69 pence an hour acceptable to you. Your claim about a carer premium is a deliberate lie. As you are not entitled if you claim carers allowance on universal credit.

Point 2. Irish and Scottish carers have the same criteria, are part of the United Kingdom, have the same rights to being a carer, eg the person you are caring for has to be disabled on a benefit. So clearly you are discriminating against English carers. We are all part of the United Kingdom. Your argument is racist and unacceptable in a civilised society.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/c...

David Taylor

Dear Department for Work and Pensions,

That clearly is not good enough. Why should I. You forgot to pay me for 15 months, forcing me into a debt relief order by claiming that my uncle did not live with me. When you clearly knew he did. Then you denied me the right to complain about it. You sanction us for being late. Go to hell. Answer my question by law or I’m phoning the police. You are clearly committing human rights violations by treating carers differently than others. And everyone out there should know why.

Just come clean. You are treating carers like your slave labour. You are making a giant profit off our backs out of a group of people who actually save you money. 0.69p even for 35 hours is a disgrace. You are taking off us. You claim it’s gone up. Yet you rob everything off universal credit. In clear breach of our human rights. And as such you should report yourselves if you have any guts.

Irish carers get 217 euros a week. Scottish carers get more. We are all under the United Kingdom and Ireland. Don’t you dare even claim that it’s because their devolved. That’s unacceptable. Your treating us as different as them when the criteria to get the same benefit is the same.

You clearly are white slaves. And very racist against English carers for some reason. And the public have a right to know.

If you are not treating us like slaves. You claim carers allowance has gone up. 67.25 for 24 hours a day work. That you then rob off universal credit. The more it goes up. The more is taken. Stop lying to people and admit that you treat a group of people who actually save you money like less than everyone. The benefit is less than everyone gets. Yet we have to work for it. 0.69 an hour acceptable to you. Clearly you think that we will not toss family members in a home and are taking advantage of us. You would be arrested in law 0.69 for 24 hours a day work.

And if your not racist against the English. Why are we getting less than Irish and Scottish carers when the criteria to get carers allowance is the same criteria for everyone. And don’t even run that devolved excuse. We are all the United Kingdom here. If you ask about carers allowance for Scottish and Irish. Guess where google directs you. Yes, gov.uk.

It’s shocking, shameful and disgusting that you do not have the guts to answer simple question. You certainly should report yourselves as being racist and advocating slavery with regards to carers. Who you were clapping for clearly taking advantage of. And I expect a report claiming that you have reported this to the human rights.

I am writing to request an internal review of Department for Work and Pensions's handling of my FOI request 'Carers Allowance'.

Dear DWP Policy Group FreedomofInformation,
That's not what I requested. And why have you produced my private address when you do not have permission. I will indeed be passing this onto the ico commissioner. Would you care to answer why you are completely racist in assuming that all carers can go to work. I will ask again. This is clearly discrimination and the police should be informed. When do you expect carers to find work. When their caring responsibilities mean that they simply can not. If you refuse or can not answer as to why. Then you are advocating slavery and I expect you to report yourselves to the police. I gave you no permission to produce my private letter in public either. Is there any reason why you did this. Invading my human rights. As such I will be suing you for this. And calling for your arrest. That letter was sent independent. And you've produced my private address online. In clear breach of my human rights.

Yours sincerely,

David Taylor

Dear DWP Policy Group FreedomofInformation,

You are blatantly refusing to answer the questions. Why. If you’ve nothing to hide. Carers who claim Carers Allowance of 67.25 a week for 24 hours a day work. Carers who can not work due to their caring responsibility are treated differently to Carers who can not work. Why. Do you not realise that some carers who can not work.
If not. Why are you treating us differently to Carers who can work, by paying us less. I mean when would you like carers who can not work, to work in order to get full benefits. When do you want me to leave a severely disabled person on their own for this. Have the guts to answer.

Carers from Scotland and Ireland. Get a whole lot more. For the same exact criteria.

So either you are racist against English. As you are treating us differently to Scotland and Ireland. Or just discriminating. Which is it.

And I demand action and compensation for you printing my address to the public. Without my permission. You have no right. And I fully intend to sue you for this. You deliberately leaked my personal information.

Yours sincerely,

David Taylor

Dear Mr Taylor,

As advised in our response to your internal review request dated 17 June 2020, if you are dissatisfied with the outcome of the internal review, you may apply directly to the Information Commissioner for an independent review. Generally the Commissioner cannot make a decision unless you have exhausted the complaints procedure provided by the Civil Service Commission. We confirm that you have now exhausted that procedure.

Details of how to make a complaint to the Information Commissioner can be found at the foot of your internal review reply, however to be helpful you can access this via the link here: https://ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/offi...

As we are unable to assist you further with this matter, the Department for Work and Pensions will not be responding to any further related correspondence.

Yours sincerely
