Please can you tell me on the original call for employment sites in the
new local plan, how many employment sites were required and how many were
· There was no specific requirement or target in relation to the
original call for sites which invited the submission of both Housing and
Economic land. However, details of the projected requirement for
employment land can be viewed in the South West Hertfordshire Economic
Study (2016, 2019 update) which is available on our website at
· In total, seven strategic employment sites and two smaller
employment sites were promoted in our original call for sites and these
can be viewed in the Potential Sites for Housing and Employment report
These figures do not include mixed use land promotions.
· Through our public engagement on the Potential Sites report, a
number of additional housing and employment sites were promoted including
four new sites proposed for employment development. This figure does not
include mixed use land promotions. Further details can be found in Table

· The Council received pre-application enquiries on a number of
potential employment sites of which we had not previously been made
aware. However, no decisions on either employment or housing land, for
inclusion in the new Local Plan, have yet been made by the Council.
