Cadets in Aberdeen

Dear Aberdeen City Council,

This email is a FoI request in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act (2000).

Please could you provide me with the following information:

1). How many Army Cadets groups operate in the area for which you are responsible?
2). How many Sea Cadets groups operate in the area for which you are responsible?
3). How many Air Training Corps groups operate in the area for which you are responsible?
4a). Do any of these organisations receive assistance, monetary or otherwise, from your council or council affiliated bodies?
4b). If any of these organisations do receive assistance, please could you provide the names of these organisation as well a short description of what assistance they receive? For example, some Army or Sea Cadets may use school facilities to host their activities.

Thank you for your information request of 15 August 2016.  Aberdeen City
Council (ACC) has completed the necessary search for the information
requested.

 

Please could you provide me with the following information:

 

1). How many Army Cadets groups operate in the area for which you are
responsible?

2). How many Sea Cadets groups operate in the area for which you are
responsible?

3). How many Air Training Corps groups operate in the area for which you
are responsible?

ACC does not hold accurate figures in relation to this. Please contact the
relevant Cadet group.

 

ACC is unable to provide you with information on How many Cadet groups
operate in the area for which you are responsible as it is not held by
ACC.  In order to comply with its obligations under the terms of Section
17 of the FOISA, ACC hereby gives notice that this information is not held
by it. 

 

4a). Do any of these organisations receive assistance, monetary or
otherwise, from your council or council affiliated bodies?

Yes.

 

4b). If any of these organisations do receive assistance, please could you
provide the names of these organisation as well a short description of

ACC Facilities Management have operational responsibility for Marischal
College, Town House, Frederick Street Centre, Spring Garden and the
Kittybrewster Depot.

 

Army Cadets, Sea Cadets or Air Training Corps are not given use of any of
these premises.

 

Please contact Sport Aberdeen for information on the use of school
buildings etc.
