Byelaws relating to UAV flights

The request was successful.

Dear Slough Borough Council,

Can you please advise if you have any byelaws relating to the use off UAVs from your land, and if so can you please elder provide a copy or the link to their location on a website.

If you do not have any byelaws, do you have any other policies relating to the use of UAVs on your land?

Can you finally advise if these have been reviewed in relation to CQP722C (https://publicapps.caa.co.uk/modalapplic...) published by the Civil Aviation Authority in December 2020.

Yours faithfully,

Simon Hawkins

Dear Sir

Our byelaws only permit model aircraft to be flown in Upton Court Park. In Upton Court Park there is a designated area for flying model aircraft and only members of the flying club are allowed to use this. The club has qualified officers who ensure all licences and training are in place before any member is allowed to use their aircraft.
No one is allowed to fly a drone or UAV anywhere in any of our other open spaces.
There are also national laws about flying drones and model aircraft to ensure safety that would also apply wherever someone wishes to fly.

I hope this makes sense.

Regards

Gerald
