Byelaws relating to UAV Flights

The request was successful.

Dear Bradwell-on-Sea Parish Council,

Can you please advise if you have any byelaws relating to the use off UAVs from your land, and if so can you please elder provide a copy or the link to their location on a website.

If you do not have any byelaws, do you have any other policies relating to the use of UAVs on your land?

Can you finally advise if these have been reviewed in relation to CAP722C (https://publicapps.caa.co.uk/modalapplic...) published by the Civil Aviation Authority in December 2020.

Yours faithfully,

Simon Hawkins

Emma Smith, Bradwell-on-Sea Parish Council

Dear Simon,
Thank you for your e-mail enquiry.
I am assuming that UAV stands for Unmanned Aerial Vehicle? If this is the
case I can confirm that Bradwell on Sea Parish Council has no byelaws at
present. However the only land that the Parish Council own is the village
hall and the playing field, which may be too small for such a vehicle and
not suitable due to a large number of trees. All of the green space in the
village and open land is privately owned by farmers, with a very large
proportion (which includes the old runways and airfields) owned by EDF
Energy with their own security patrolling them.
It would also be worth checking with our District Council (Maldon District
Council) as they may have certain regulations regarding these types of
vehicles. I believe they may have put an exclusion zone around part of
Bradwell on Sea due to the power station, but they will have more
information on this.

Sorry I can't be of any more help.
