McConville, John,

Dear Sir/Madam

Request for Information – Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002

I refer to your e-mail of 6th May 2019, in which you request under the
terms of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002, certain
information in connection with correspondence and communications between
the “Council/Valuation Joint Board and the Brexit Party”.

More specifically, your request is in the following terms;

1) I would like to request all internal correspondence and communications
which mentions, or refers to, the Brexit Party.

2) I would also like to request all external correspondence and
communications between the Council/Valuation Joint Board and the Brexit
Party.

The information requested is not held by Ayrshire Valuation Joint,
therefore I am not in a position to provide it. However, I note that you
have also submitted a request for information to the Assessor for Ayrshire
Valuation Joint Board who will respond to your separate e-mail.

As you will also know, it is not permissible under the Freedom of
Information (Scotland) Act 2002, for one public body to transfer a request
for information to another public body. Any request for information from
the “Council” should be directed to the three Ayrshire Councils, their
contact details are noted below;

East Ayrshire Council

[1][email address]

North Ayrshire Council

[2][email address]

South Ayrshire Council

[3][email address]

As required by the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002, I would
advise you that if you are dissatisfied with the way in which this request
has been dealt with you may apply to have this decision reviewed as
detailed within Section 20 of the Act. In order to do this you must apply
to the Assessor, in writing or other permanent means, stating your contact
details, your request and the reason why you are dissatisfied. Any such
application must be made within 40 working days of receipt of this notice.

Should you remain dissatisfied following such a review then you are
entitled to appeal, within the terms of section 47(1) of the Act, to the
Freedom of Information Commissioner for a decision by the Commissioner.
The Commissioner can be contacted at:-

Kinburn Castle,

Doubledykes Road,

St. Andrews,

Fife, KY16 9DS.

Telephone: 01334 464610

The Commissioners Appeals Online service gives you help in real time,
explaining exactly what the Commissioner needs to investigate your case
quickly.  The direct link to this service is on their website:

Yours faithfully
