Dear Ms Corderoy

Re: Freedom of Information Act 2000 – FOIA6605

Thank you for your request which has been dealt with under the Freedom of
Information Act 2000 (FOIA). You requested the following information:

Request

1)            I would like to request all internal correspondence and
communications which mentions, or refers to, the Brexit Party.

2)            I would also like to request all external correspondence and
communications between the Council and the Brexit Party.

After Clarification

I can confirm that my request relates to correspondence from Electoral
Services only

Response

I can confirm that Scarborough Borough Council do not hold any internal
communications between the Electoral Services Department in respect of The
Brexit Party.

Please find attached an external email conversation between the Electoral
Services Department and a Member of the European Parliament from The
Brexit Party. Please note that the attachment includes redactions of third
party personal data and the exemption at section 40(2) of the FOIA is
engaged. Section 40(2) provides that personal data about third parties is
exempt information if one of the conditions set out in section 40(3) is
satisfied.  Under the FOI Act, we feel that disclosure of this information
would breach the fair processing principle contained in the Data
