Dear Liverpool City Council,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Liverpool City Council's handling of my FOI request 'Brabners Solicitors/ LCC/ Tarmacademy as you have refused to provide the information which is in the public interest and is of high importance as it effects all the taxpayers of Liverpool.

FACT 1. The Council borrowed over £4.2 million for land for a non-existent training academy.

FACT 2. No academy was ever built!

FACY 3. Millions of pounds worth of land acquired for the failed venture was given to KIng Construction rent free for years.

Fact 4. It is down to the taxpayers of Liverpool to repay loan.

FACT 5. The story of the failed academy has been the subject of news stories in the local press.

Therefore, I would suggest the the levels of public interest are high in this instance, and I suggest you reconsider your refusal to provide the information.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/b...

John Hanlon
