Bollard Damage

Newcastle upon Tyne City Council did not have the information requested.

Dear Newcastle upon Tyne City Council,

I am looking to gain three things please- In the last year ( August 2017-August 2018) :

1) The number of people people who have tried to claim on their car insurance when they have hit a bollard- In a car park, drive-thru or in everyday life in general.

2) What was their excuse when they tried to get insurance for this

3) How many people have told the council they have hit a bollard

*I don’t need names/ figures and quotes please

I appreciate this might not be data you hold- but if you have anything around this that would be very useful please,

Yours faithfully,
Becky Gaskell

Subject: Freedom of Information request - Bollard Damage

Dear Newcastle upon Tyne City Council,

I am looking to gain three things please- In the last year ( August
2017-August 2018) :

1)    The number of people people who have tried to claim on their car
insurance when they have hit a bollard- In a car park, drive-thru or in
everyday life in general.

We do not have this information

2)    What was their excuse when they tried to get insurance for this

N/A

3)    How many people have told the council they have hit a bollard

We have not had any claims from people hitting bollards, neither are we
aware of anyone contacting NCC to advise they have hit and damaged a
bollard.

*I don’t need names/ figures and quotes please

I appreciate this might not be data you hold- but if you have anything
around this that would be very useful please,

Yours faithfully,

Becky Gaskell
