Dear M Jones

I am writing to confirm that the council has completed the processing of
your request for information.

Please find below a copy of your request, followed by the Council’s
response.

Request

1) Please provide a map of all Blue Badge (BB) Bays in  Town Centre and
confirm the number of Blue Badge Bays,

Please see link below

[1]Parking for disabled people | Bracknell Forest Council
(bracknell-forest.gov.uk)

Also, map attached. There are 6 disabled on street parking bays within the
town centre. Our Multi Storey and surface car parks contain a total of 113
disabled spaces available

2) Please confirm if the Blue Badge Bays are full on day what provision is
made for Blue Badge Holders to park at alternative provision in the Town
Centre. If the on street bays are full disabled badge holders can park on
a single/double yellow line that does not have a loading ban (kerb
stripes) for up to 3 hours with a valid badge and time clock displayed.
There is ample provision available across our multi storey and surface car
parks for disabled drivers

3) Please confirm if BB Holders are allowed to park in resident parking
zones owned and operated by the council?

Yes they can park provided they display a valid permit in conjunction with
their blue badge then Blue badge holders can park within the residents
parking zones. Disabled drivers are entitled to a free permit to park
within the zones, and any disabled driver who is visiting will have a
permit issued by the household they are visiting.

The Resident parking scheme is part of  a controlled parking zone, and the
restrictions that apply in the zones require all vehicles that park within
the zone to display a valid permit, and as such a blue badge is not valid
on its own without a permit.

If not please confirm why not as this varies from council and  provide
copies of the internal minutes/ consultations undertaken/ transport
decision agreements which led to policy and practice adoption that BB
Holders will not be allowed to park in council owned resident parking
zones. Not applicable
