Birmingham School information
Dear Birmingham City Council,
Under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I wish to request the following information:
The admissions policy for primary schools in Birmingham is to allocate places firstly to children in care, then to siblings of those attending the school, and finally by the strongest geographical claim. I am interested in the effective catchment areas of several primary schools in the Birmingham area, namely:
Four Oaks Primary School
Please could you tell me what the effective catchment areas (i.e. the distance of the furthest pupil who gained a place with a geographical claim) were for the academic years beginning September 2018 and September 2019. Also how many pupils in each of these years were admitted solely on geographical claim (i.e. not siblings, children in public care etc.) and what the total yearly intake was for the reception year.
Thank you.
Yours faithfully,
Andy Stevenson
