System definitions:
Bed Management – Real-time bed states are viewable and accessible, enabling more efficient management of bed occupancy and patient movements.
Diagnostic Reporting - Test results which are electronically transmitted to the clinician who ordered them, with receipt acknowledgement.
Discharge Letters - The ability to electronically generate and send detailed discharge letters to GPs and other relevant HCPs, when a patient is discharged from hospital-based services.
Integration Platform - Software that supports the integration and interoperability of various clinical and management IT systems and services.

I am writing regarding your request made under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2022 (FOISA) for Bed Management, Diagnostic Reporting, Discharge Letters, Integration Platform Systems Query.
Unfortunately, NHS Shetland has been unable to provide a response to your request within the required timescale. On behalf of NHS Shetland I would like to apologise for this delay, which has been caused by unavailability of key staff. We will endeavour to provide you with a response by 16 June 2022.
Because we did not respond to your request within the timescale required by FOISA, NHS Shetland is in breach of the legislation and, under FOISA S20 you are entitled to request a review of the way NHS Shetland has dealt with your request.
A request for review must be made in writing to Carolyn Hand, Corporate Services Manager, NHS Shetland, Board Headquarters, Upper Floor Montfield, Burgh Road, Lerwick, Shetland, ZE1 0LA, or by email to [NHS Shetland request email] with the subject header ‘FOISA review’, no later than 40 working days from the date of this notification.
