BBC Three linear broadcast statistics

The request was refused by British Broadcasting Corporation.

Dear British Broadcasting Corporation,

In 2015, the BBC trust approved the closure of BBC Three based on the below conditions:-

1) A condition requiring BBC Three programmes to be broadcast on BBC One/Two, has been strengthened so that all BBC Three long-form programmes must be broadcast in slots on BBC One and Two, on an ongoing basis, effective immediately on closure of the BBC Three TV channel.

2) In addition, BBC Three long-form programmes must be broadcast on both BBC One and Two at a variety of times across the schedule and throughout the UK

3) A condition requiring BBC One and Two to offer programmes specifically aimed at younger audiences, including the BBC Three programmes, now requires the channels to offer distinctive programmes designed for younger audiences, including the long-form BBC Three programmes

The BBC trust also said it would conduct a service review will be conducted within 18 months of the decision, assessing the progress of the new online BBC Three and the effectiveness of the conditions the Trust has imposed, however the BBC Trust itself subsequently closed on 2nd April 2017.

Please could you answer the below questions/provide the relevant information.

1) Was the BBC Trust's review ever completed, either by the BBC, Ofcom or any other body? If so, where can a copy of the review be found?

2) What BBC Three content/shows have been shown on BBC One/Two since the closure of BBC Three?

3) Of the BBC Three content shown on BBC One/Two, which is original content that has only been created since the closure of BBC Three?

4) Can you please provide a break down of the total hours of BBC Three content broadcast on BBC One/Two since the closure of BBC Three per month?

5) In terms of a percentage, how much of the BBC Three content makes it to BBC One/Two and does the BBC consider it's doing enough to meet the conditions based on this figure?

Yours faithfully,

Gwyn
