BBC Music Awards

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, British Broadcasting Corporation should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear British Broadcasting Corporation,

Under the freedom of information act, I request to know if the BBC have any plans to bring back the BBC Music Awards last hosted in 2017.

Dear Mr Ockerby,

Thank you for your email. As stated in our response, the information you
have requested is excluded from the Act because if held it would be held
for the purposes of ‘journalism, art or literature.’ The BBC is therefore
not obliged to provide this information to you. The BBC does not offer an
internal review when the information requested is not covered by the Act.
However, if you disagree with our decision you can appeal to the
Information Commissioner using the following contact details: Information
Commissioner's Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9

Dear FOI Enquiries,

I don't think you have read my enquiry properly, I didn't state in my original FOI request if it was for the purpose of journalism or for my own personal issue. In my recent enquiry to you I have stated that it was for the purpose of the journalism and I still request the info I have asked. Thank you.

Yours sincerely,

Dean Ockerby

You've misunderstood the response - the information is exempt because the *BBC* hold the information "for the purposes of ‘journalism, art or literature". Organisations aren't permitted to question what anyone else wants it for (unless there are security/safety concerns).
