All BBC smoke & mirrors (AKA B.S.), Detector evidence has NEVER EVER been used in court, though a few years ago DB Broadcast, Witchford, near Ely, Cambs serviced the equipment it was claimed by the BBC - this firm also designs "Hawkeye" used in Snooker & ping-pong BBC TV.
Their system relies on the unlicened address database, mail threats, doorstep threats, & householders being bullied & harrased into signing the TVL178 "Confession" form (Or signing up there & then to a direct debit TV licence) - they care not how they get the money - if you end up in court, Capita get £90 "Expences" in addition to the court fine that goes to the government - "Not today thank you" & shut the door is the best defence against these con-merchants collecting money for funding "BBC superstars" like ROLF HARRIS, JIMMY SAVILE & STUART HALL..the list grows longer every day.
