Band C housing waiting numbers

A Zaman made this Freedom of Information request to Greenwich Borough Council This request has been closed to new correspondence. Contact us if you think it should be reopened.

The request was successful.

Dear Greenwich Borough Council,

As residents of Greenwich council increasingly getting frustrated about the waiting for council housing and lack of transparency on individuals exact position in the waiting list I request answers for the following questions.

1. currently how many applicants are in BAND C (no priorities) waiting for housing?

2. what was the registration date of BAND C (no priorities), candidate, last offered housing.

3. is it possible to for an individual to know his or her position in the BAND C (no priorities) list?

I understand that the council has housing policy and allocation policy in place. but like some other councils in London, Greenwich council don't have a system in place to know the individual position in the bidding process.
Thus I request you to release that information for transparency and for the public interest.

Yours faithfully,
Arif Zaman
Greenwich resident.
