Dera Mr Moody

Further to my recent e-mail, I can now confirm that I have had response
from our Human Resources and Clinical Education departments.  I am sorry
to report that we are unable to provide a response to the FOI enquiry that
you made recently:

“1: The number of front-line staff members who came onto Band 5 post
agenda for change, whom started at the bottom of band 5 before 01/04/2013.

2: The number of these staff who had a formal assessment of their
competence at 6 months post qualification.

3: The number of front-line staff members who came onto Band 5 post agenda
for change, who started at the bottom of band 5 before 01/04/2013 and went
on to gain accelerated pay progression under the old paragraph 1.8 of the
Agenda for Change handbook (known as preceptorship).”

I am advised that our information systems do not hold the response to
these questions and so the only way that it can be extracted would be by
reviewing every relevant staff members’ personal file.  This would be a
massive task that would take well over the limit of 18 hours set under the
FOI Act.

With regard to the delay in replying I can only apologise for this, as the
response should have been provided within 20 days.  The complex nature of
the information requested led to it being passed between departments and
no final response was provided.  We do have systems to chase responses but
due to pressure of work these were not applied.

Please accept my formal apology on behalf of the Trusts for the delay.

If you require anything further, or I can be of  any further assistance
please contact me again.

Regards
