Note:
i) Prior to 1st April 2009 Section 106 Agreements were issued by the District Authorities of
North Shropshire District Council, Oswestry Borough Council, Shrewsbury & Atcham Borough
Council, South Shropshire District Council and Bridgnorth District Council. On the 1st April
2009, these were combined under one Unitary Authority of Shropshire Council. Information
contained in this response has therefore been prepared based on financial years effective from
1st April 2009.
ii) The table below represents cumulative values prior to 01/04/2009. We have included the
unspent balance transferred at Unitary (the opening balance), followed by income received year
on year on a cash basis, what the Council has spent and committed, resulting in an unallocated
balance of £2.25m as at 01/04/2012.
iii) The process of issuing a S106 agreement, collecting, allocating and spending S106
contributions generally occurs over a number of years, so whilst the sums shown below are
cumulative values for the time period requested, they may not necessarily represent those
agreements issued between 01/04/09 - 31/03/2012.
iv) We are only able to provide data on full financial years, and so are providing the
unallocated balance as at 31/03/2012 rather than 31/12/2011 as requested
