Bailiff charges council tax
Dear Manchester City Council,
In respect of bailiff charges:
1 - If a bailiff visits a property for the first time and is in possession of three liability orders, can he charge a visit fee of 24.50 x 3, or can he only charge 24.50?
2 - If a bailiff manages to levy on a vehicle and also manages to gain entry to a property on one visit, is he entitled to charge a levy fee in addition to a walking possession fee? Presumably the debt is secured by virtue of either..... is this correct?
3 - If a bailiff visits a property and contact is made and the circumstances of question one apply ie more than one liability order is outstanding, can the bailiff add a walking possession fee to each outstanding liability order or is it limited to one charge of 12.00?
4 - If the bailiff has received more than one liability order, but has already visited on one and is making a visit in relation to a latter received liability order, can he apply a walking possession fee or a levy fee to the liability order he previously conducted a visit on?
Yours faithfully,
NZ
