Average Years of service by rank
Dear British Army,
Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I request the average number of years of service in between officers receiving their commission and officers reaching the following ranks.
1. Captain
2. Major
3. Lieutenant Colonel
4. Colonel
For each of the ranks above, could you also state the number of personnel who are currently at that rank.
