Autism diagnosis at the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust

Roedd y cais yn rhannol lwyddiannus.

Dear South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust,

How many staff comprised the autism / Asperger diagnostic team five years ago, and how many staff comprise the autism / Asperger diagnostic team now?

Please give the job titles, roles and responsibilities, of 5 years ago and for currently.

Please can you explain any difference in staffing numbers, hours, and roles, by providing copies of the related documents or related information in any recorded form.

How long did a diagnosis at SLAM Maudsley take 5 years ago, and what did the service provide patients with (report, recommendations, referrals to services, in-house support services etc.

How does this compare to now - please provide the related information in any recorded form.

Please supply the related information that would explain these changes, from Central Government, and within SLAM Maudsley - information sent from management to staff concerned. Who ordered the cuts, if any? Based on what evidence?

Have their been any staff redundancies, or cuts in working hours due to cuts in the autism diagnostic team? Please supply any related information in any recorded form.

Does the information contain any consideration of what people with suspected autism will do now? Where was it envisaged they will go for diagnosis, if it is almost to get local diagnosis?

Have there been any cuts to management or general ecoomies to try to avoid the cutting of such a vital service?

Thank you,

Yours faithfully,

P. Smith

There has at times only been an admin person in, and NO Behavioural Genetic Clinic team members during last week???

Although staffing levels may be remedied in future, there HAS been dramatic understaffing?

Reports are severely delayed for those that have been assessed?

Why is autism always the Cinderella condition in the UK?
