Ashya King

James made this Freedom of Information request to Crown Prosecution Service

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

Roedd y cais yn llwyddiannus.

Dear Crown Prosecution Service,

Please can you tell me:

(a) What, if any offences where Ashya King's parents charged with?

(b) If they were charged with an offence, whether the CPS was using the Full Code Test or the Threshold Test to reach its charging decision?

(c) More generally, can the CPS apply the Threshold Test for charging when the suspect is not in custody? The 2013 guidance seems to indicate that the test can only be used at the time when the suspect must be released from custody unless charged.

Yours faithfully,
James Harvey.

Additionally, please release all information presented by Southampton Hospital, Dr Gary Louis Nicolin GMC ref. 3458819, and Dr Ramya Ramanujachar, GMC ref. 4597267 in support of their request to "Find Ashya", as the public information campaign was styled.
