I am writing to confirm that the Council has now completed its search for
the information which you requested on 31/8/16.

for the service delivery, please see details below:

 1. If a school was built prior to 2000, it is likely that there will be,
or has been, asbestos somewhere within the premises therefore the
assumption is that asbestos is present in schools built pre 2000.
 2. Please see attached list of schools a review of all Asbestos
Management Plans was carried out in 2013 and subsequently all schools
are re-inspected annually

It should be noted that schools which have academised will no longer form
part of the councils responsibility to survey and or inspect, the
responsibility will fall to the relevant school if a stand-alone converter
or the Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) if the school joins an established trust
or sets up a trust.

       3.  St Marys CE primary school, Walthamstow 24/7/2012 disturbance
