We make this request under the above Act and Regulations in relation to Brambles Primary School, Kedward Avenue, Brambles Farm, Middlesbrough, TS3 9DB. We understand that the Primary School closed in 2012 and Brambles Primary Academy was opened in its place.

Please provide documents in relation to asbestos as follows:

1. Asbestos registers and surveys for Brambles Primary School covering the period of 1984 - 1995.
2. If you do not have the above, then please provide the earliest asbestos registers and surveys that you do have for Brambles Primary School.
3. Details and documentation regarding any removal works carried out to remove asbestos during the period of 1984 - 1994.

Middlesbrough, TS3 8RE. This school was closed in August 2002 and was
replaced by Unity City Academy.

1.      Asbestos registers and surveys for Kedlholme School covering the
period of 1994 - 1999.

2.      If you do not have the above, then please provide the earliest
asbestos registers and surveys that you do have for Kedlholme School.

3.      Details and documentation regarding any removal works carried out
to remove asbestos during the period of 1994 - 1999.

We have no data on Keldholme school or UCA.

Details would have been held by Cleveland County.  Middlesbrough does not
have any data prior to 2005.

I note that the disclosed asbestos survey refers to previous asbestos removal work (see page 9 of 15). Please can you provide any documentation relating to this asbestos removal works or confirm that you do not hold this information. Please can you also provide any other documentation relating to earlier asbestos removal work at the school.

7^th March 2022.  Your request has been considered in accordance with the
requirements of the Environmental Information Regulations.  Please accept
our sincere apologies for the delay in responding to you.

 

In your request you asked for the following information:

 

Please kindly confirm that you do not hold asbestos surveys or registers
from the period covering 1984 - 1995, when the school was Brambles Primary
School and prior to the school becoming an Academy. In particular, any
surveys or registers relating to the prefabricated building destroyed in
1990s.

 

Response: We hold no data prior to 2005.

 

I note that the disclosed asbestos survey refers to previous asbestos
removal work (see page 9 of 15). Please can you provide any documentation
relating to this asbestos removal works or confirm that you do not hold
this information. Please can you also provide any other documentation
relating to earlier asbestos removal work at the school.

 

Response: Attached is the reoccupation certificates and waste consignment
notes for the clearance of the asbestos debris in the loft space (this is
the only information we hold).  This was completed by the Academy and we
held the information on their behalf as we used to update their asbestos
register via a previous SLA.

 

Please note that third party information has been redacted under Reg.
13(1) of the EIR.  EIR Regulation 13(1) – personal data that is subject to
an absolute exception and is not subject to public interest test.
