Asbestos
Dear Transport for London,
I am intrigued to know whether the following DLR stations contain some form of asbestos
Canary Wharf
Royal Albert
Shadwell
Crossharbour
Devons Road
Also curious if the 1983 stock contained that mineral
Thanks,
Ricky O

Dear Mr Oyamenda
Our Ref: FOI-0453-2223
Thank you for your request received on 29 May 2022 asking for information
about asbestos in DLR stations and stock.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of
the Environmental Information Regulations and our information access
policy. I can confirm we hold some of the information you require.
Our records show that no Asbestos Containing Materials (ACMs) were
identified in any of the areas surveyed within our reports for the
stations listed. We do not hold information regarding the 1983 stock as
the DLR was not in operation at this time. The original P86/P89 stock has
been withdrawn and operated between 1987-1995. The current B92 stock which
is currently in service does not contain any ACMs.
If this is not the information you are looking for please feel free to
contact me.
Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to
appeal.
Yours sincerely
