Arrangements for Whitchurch Bridge Closure

Yn disgwyl am adolygiad mewnol gan Oxfordshire County Council o'u triniaeth o'r cais hwn.

Dear Oxfordshire County Council,

I understand Whitchurch Bridge is to close for around 6 months on 3rd October 2013. Whilst it is recognised that the bridge requires replacement, can you please provide all information relating to the arrangements being put in place to cope with the closure. This should includes minutes of any meetings held and any data provided to other stakeholders. In particular, Whitchurch is renowned for being cut off when there is snowfall and ice. It is not uncommon for the B471 to be un passable even for 4 x 4 vehicles when there has been snowfall. I would therefore request all information with regards for contingency plans for the emergency services and what plans are in place to keep the B471 clear of snow and ice, particularly if we have a poor winter whilst the bridge is closed.

Yours faithfully,

Mr Bowen

Dear Oxfordshire County Council,

Can you confirm that this is all the information you hold on the winter arrangements for the closure of Whitchurch Bridge. Can you also confirm that no additional arrangements have been put in place regards adverse weather whilst the bridge is closed other than what you have provided in the past.
This requests relates directly at the provision of keeping Whitchurch on Thames accessible whilst the bridge is closed rather than parking issues in other villages.
I find it hard to believe that this is all the information held on this matter and do seek a review of what has been provided as a matter of urgency.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/a...

Yours faithfully,

Mr Bowen

Dear E&E - FOI,

Thank you for your response, however it is now around 6 weeks until the bridge closure. With this timeframe in mind I am left with little alternatave than to write formally to the council on this matter. In addition I have already sought advice regarding a Judicial Review of the decision to close the bridge over the winter period with inadequate planning with other parties and shall seek leave to bring a JR on this matter.

Yours sincerely,

Mr Bowen
