Good afternoon,

 

Thank you for your information access request received on the 18^th May
2020 where you asked for information about apprenticeships.

 

Under Section 1(1)(a) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 we can
confirm that Boston Borough Council does hold the information specified in
your request. The information you have requested is detailed below.

 

I would be keen to understand your Apprenticeship Provision:

 

1.       What is the annual Apprenticeship Levy?

Our annual Apprenticeship Levy is 0.5% of our annual pay bill, which for
the financial year 2019-20 was £19156

 

2.       How much Levy do you currently use?

The amount of Levy currently used, for the financial year 19/20 it was
£18497.00

 

 3. How many Apprentices do you currently have?

5 plus 2 have secured positions but we are unable to start due to COVID 19

Plus 3 members of staff undertaking apprenticeship qualifications with us
who are permanent members of staff

 

 4. What training providers do you use?

Boston College

Lifetime Training

Anglia Professional Training

The Institute of Revenues, Rating and Valuation (IRRV)

 

 5. What Apprenticeship standards do you use?

Currently:

·         L2 Business Admin & Diploma in Bus Admin L2

·         L2 Customer Services Practitioner

·         IRRV Level 4 Revenues and welfare benefits practitioner
apprenticeship

·         Professional Accountant/Tax Technician L4

·         Active Leisure Fitness L2 Diploma

 

Also used previously:

·         L2 -Intermediate Apprenticeship for IT Software Web & Telecoms
Professionals

·         Active Leisure, Learning & Well-being Ops Services Level 2
Diploma

·         AAT L2-L4

 

6.       How many IT Apprentices do you have?

Currently non as we have had two consecutive apprenticeships within the
ICT department who have since secured permanent posts and they are being
developed further.  They previously completed L2 -Intermediate
Apprenticeship for IT Software Web & Telecoms Professionals.
