Dear Arun

Thank you for your enquiry.

Congratulations on the birth of your daughter.

ILR would only cover children born in the UK to be eligible for a British passport, as your daughter was born outside of the UK she is not eligible.

You will need to apply for an Indian passport for her initially, then you can look into registration for her when she is in the UK, so she can then have a British passport.

For information on becoming a British citizen please visit: https://www.gov.uk/british-citizenship or contact the Home Office on +44 (0)300 123 2253.
