Allocation of student rooms in Wills Hall

The request was successful.

Dear University of Bristol,

Please could you tell me:

1- how many female students put Wills Hall as their first choice for accommodation in September 2016 and how many of these were from a state school and how many from an independent school? How many of these, divided into each category, were offered a place in Wills? I am interested in choice of hall and not exact room type.

2- How many students from the above group, i.e. students who put Wills as their first choice, were offered their second choice of residence (again, divided into state and independent school)

3- How many students were offered neither their first or second choice of halls (again, divided into state and independent school background).

4- Please could you also answer each of these questions specifically for female vet students?

Yours faithfully,

R May

Dear R.May
Thank you for your recent Freedom of Information request, as below:

1-  How many female students put Wills Hall as their first choice for
accommodation in September 2016 and how many of these were from a state
school and how many from an independent school?  How many of these,
divided into each category, were offered a place in Wills? I am interested
in choice of hall and not exact room type.
2- How many students from the above group, i.e. students who put Wills as
their first choice, were offered their second choice of residence (again,
divided into state and independent school)
3- How many students were offered neither their first or second choice of
halls (again, divided into state and independent school background).
4- Please could you also answer each of these questions specifically for
female vet students?
Please see the attached figures.
By way of comment, accommodation allocations are made reflecting the level
of applications received. For catered halls of residence in Stoke Bishop,
the applications from independent school students are higher than from
other schools leading to a higher percentage of allocations for these
students.
Please accept our apologies for the slight delay in responding.
