Allegations of sexual misconduct

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service,

I write to request the following under the Freedom of Information Act:

For each of the last five calendar years: 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018, please state the number of doctors referred to the MPTS for allegations of
a) sexual misconduct
b) sexual harassment
c) sexual assault
d) rape

Please provide any official definitions your organisation uses to categorise allegations of a sexual nature.

2. Please provide a breakdown of whether the complainant was
a) A member of the public
b) A patient
c) A health professional

3. Please state the number of doctors that received:
a) Bans on practising
b) Suspensions on practising
c) Formal reprimands
d) Complaint upheld, no formal action
e) Complaint not upheld
f) Any other outcome not listed above (please specify)

After being referred to MPTS in each of the last five calendar years: 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018.
