Dear Northumbria Police Authority,

I have already made a request regards all/any complaints against Northumbria Police Chief Constable Sue Sim, however, this request relates to her time as both Assistant Chief Constable and later as Temporary Chief Constable, as follows;

1. How many complaints have been recorded by Northumbria Police Authority against Sue Sim during her time as both Assistant Chief Constable and later as Temporary Chief Constable of Northumbria Police?

2. How many complaints against Sue Sim have been referred to the Independent Police Complaints Commission during her him as both Assistant Chief Constable and later Temporary Chief Constable of Northumbria Police?

3. How many complaints against Sue sim, as above, have been recorded by the Northumbria Police Authority, yet the
Northumbria Police Authority have applied to the Independent Police Complaints Commission for dispensation?

4. Supply full details, the manner of all/any such complaints made against Sue Sim during her time as both Assistant Chief Constable and later as Temporary Chief Constable of Northumbria Police?

5. Supply the dates of all/any complaints against Sue Sim during time she was Assistant Chief Constable and later Temporary Chief Constable, including when they were recorded and as applicable the dates all/any complaints were dispensed?

6. Supply full details on what grounds were all/any recorded
complaints against Sue Sim during her time as both Assistant Chief Constable and later as Temporary Chief Constable of Northumbria Police dispensed?

7. Please detail all/any complaints made against Sim Sim when both Assistant Chief Constable and as Temporary Chief Constable that were referred to the Board members of the Northumbria Police Authority?

I refer to the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and to your letter to
this department dated 3 July 2011.

In accordance with the Freedom of Information Act, we have formally
decided to grant access to the records requested and accordingly they
are as follows:

Complaints made against the Chief Officer of Northumbria Police may not
always be considered as a complaint about the Chief Constable, rather it
may be about the actions of an individual officer who has a delegated
responsibility to perform these duties on behalf of the Chief Constable.
The Authority should only deal with complaints that are about the
personal conduct and actions of senior police officers.

Sim's time as Assistant, Deputy, Temporary Chief Constable and Chief
Constable of Northumbria Police

1. How many complaints have been recorded by Northumbria Police
Authority against Sue Sim during her time in the above posts?

RESPONSE: One, from you, dated 10 July 2011 which is currently being
considered.

2. How many complaints against Sue Sim have been referred to the
Independent Police Complaints Commission during her time in the above
posts?

RESPONSE: None

3. How many complaints against Sue Sim, as above, have been recorded by
the Northumbria Police Authority, yet the Northumbria Police Authority
