All expenditures to send reporters to locations after hours and cost of funding over 75 year old persons TV licenses

Roedd y cais yn rhannol lwyddiannus.

Dear British Broadcasting Corporation,
Every morning and evening I see national and local news reporters, their support crews, vehicles and untold behind the scenes staff being paid and spending license money to send reporters to locations (i.e. the houses of parliament) to report on stories. It it apparent that there is nobody there in the dark or after businesses of government agencies have closed for the evening of before they have opened. What does it cost (accounting for all expenses) to make these reports available versus simply having the reporter in a studio to make the same report? How much money could be saved by not sending all these people out to sites simply to demonstrate they're in a particular location? How much money is the BBC recouping from denying over 75 year old people, not receiving pension credit, by forcing them to pay the license fee? If the BBC chose not to (in my opinion) waste thousands by sending reporters to ludicrous locations as noted above, could you allow all over 75's to have a free TV license?

Yours faithfully,

Steven Stark

Peculiar response - choosing to answer a part of the request which wasn't covered by FOIA, being less a request for recorded information and more a general enquiry, and not answering the question regarding expenditure on "field reporting".
