Alcohol and drug related admissions

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Please could you provide me with the number of people who were admitted to your hospital for drug and alcohol misuse such as overdose or addiction from 2018-2020?

Dear Ms Saunders,

Thank you for your Freedom of Information request.

Under normal circumstances this Trust makes every effort to provide responses within 20 working days as specified by the Act.

However, the Trust is currently experiencing enormous pressures across all departments due to COVID19, and it is highly likely that we are unable to respond to your request at this time. The Trust is working tirelessly to accommodate the increase in demand from patients, whilst supporting our staff through such unprecedented times.

I respectfully ask, therefore, if you would kindly re-submit this request at a later date once pressures have eased again. If in the unlikely event you still wish us to proceed, please confirm this by return email; although by doing this, the Trust cannot confirm that we are able to provide a response. We will await your further instruction.

Your reference number relating to this application is stated above. Please ensure you quote this when contacting us.
