Air quality support for local authorities

The request was successful.

Dear Highways England Company Limited,

In today's The Times you are quoted as saying: "Since 2015.... we have spent £7.7m of the air quality funds ... and continue to support local authorities with the delivery of their clean air zones."

Please set out - in tabular form if need be -
1a/ Which local authorities have you given financial support for air quality and (if there are any) how much?
1b/ For those local authorities you have not financially supported, what was the nature of the support you gave (with brief description)?

Your Air Quality Plan pledged to "go beyond business as usual by looking for opportunities to improve air quality across our network";
2/ Which local authorities have you gone 'beyond business as usual' (if there are any, please give brief examples)?

Kind regards
Jack Pease

Yours faithfully,

Jack Pease
