Agency Workers
For those whom it concerns,
Under the Freedom of Information Act (2000), I request to receive the following information:
Does your authority use agency workers, either temporary, contract or permanent?
If yes; I wish to receive the following:
The yearly agency worker costs incurred each year since 2013, including this year’s projected agency cost.
Please can this information be separated into the spend per department, each year since 2013.
What is your current system for obtaining agency labour; for example, do you use local/national recruitment agencies, or neutral vendor agencies?
Regards,
Damian Conde – on behalf of Driving Force Recruitment Limited.
Dear Damian
Thank you for your enquiry with regard to Shropshire Fire and Rescue
Service’s (SFRS) use of agency workers.
I can confirm that SFRS do use agency workers for temporary, contract and
permanent positions.
Please find below the yearly agency worker costs incurred each year since
2013.
2013/14 - £137,907.53
2014/15 - £353,685.10
2015/16 (to Jan 2016) £354,729
Projected spend to the end of the year is based upon previous spend in the
year, therefore this will be approximately £420k.
We do not record spend by department but can confirm that all spend was
for non-uniformed support staff.
The Service’s current system for obtaining agency labour is using
local/national recruitment agencies.
Yours sincerely
Louise Goodhead
