Dear Kingston upon Thames Borough Council,

1) What was the value of spend on temporary staff from recruitment agencies
by the Council in 2020 – 2021 and 2021 – 2022?

Please also ensure that a gross spend value is detailed and include all spend associated to any contract let for the management/provision of temporary staff by a contracted provider (whether Vendor neutral or Master vendor). Please ensure that all figures are provided separately by year.

2) If you have a managed service provider (MSP) in place for the provision
of temporary agency staff, please provide the following;
a. How was the contract to manage/provide the supply of agency/temporary staff let?

b. Who was the contract to manage/provide the supply of agency/temporary
staff let to?

c. When did the contract to manage / provide the supply of temporary /
agency staff commence, how long does it run for and what is the end date?

I refer to your request for information received on 06/04/2022 concerning
Agency Staffing Agreement

 

Your request is as follows:

1) What was the value of spend on temporary staff from recruitment
agencies by the Council in 2020 – 2021 and 2021 – 2022?

From our records, the gross spend on temporary staff from recruitment
agencies is as follows:

2020-2021 £12,365,026.17

2021-2022 £13,516,948.05

 

2) If you have a managed service provider (MSP) in place for the provision
of temporary agency staff, please provide the following;

a. How was the contract to manage/provide the supply of agency/temporary
staff let?

The contract was let through the ESPO MSTAR Framework

 

b. Who was the contract to manage/provide the supply of agency/temporary
staff let to?

c. When did the contract to manage / provide the supply of temporary
/agency staff commence, how long does it run for and what is the end date?

The contract commenced 1st February 2021

The contract is for 3 years up until 31st January 2024 but has scope for
further 12 month extension. This means that the contract could be extended
until 31st January 2025.
