Agency Staff - Schools

Roedd y cais yn llwyddiannus.

Dear Nottinghamshire County Council,

I would like to know how much each school in the authority (Primary, Secondary, SEND etc) spent on third party supply agencies between 1st September 2019 and 1st May 2020.

It this could be broken down per school and how much that school spent with each third party agency that would be helpful. Otherwise, just a total per school spent on supply teacher and teaching assistants.

Yours faithfully,

Andy Smith

FOI, Nottinghamshire County Council

Dear Mr Smith

Further to you Freedom of Information request made on 9 May, received on Monday 11th, I am now able to provide the Council's response. I understand that you sent an email yesterday asking for a review of your request as you had not received a response, which was due out to you yesterday 10th June. I apologise that the response is a day late, however, the Council needs to prioritise its staff and resources on the delivery of key services, during the Coronavirus outbreak, this means that some responses have been delayed.

The Information Commissioner recognises this, and has given guidance on the website www.ico.gov.uk

Please note, we are not able to break the spend down by individual agencies or able to provide the names of the third party agencies as that information is held with individual schools and not the Council.

Also, we are not able to break down the Agency Staff any further, it includes all staff other than teachers not just teaching assistants.

We hope this now answers your request, should you have any further enquiries please do not hesitate to contact me.

If you remain unhappy with the way in which your request has been handled, you can request a review by contacting [Nottinghamshire County Council request email] or by post to:

Complaints and Information Team
County Hall
Loughborough Road
West Bridgford
Nottingham
NG2 7QP

A request for an internal review should be submitted within 40 days of receipt of the response. Please specify why you do not agree with the response and what factors you would like to be considered as part of the review.
