Advice on "de-silting" of Wimbledon Park Lake given to London Borough of Merton

We're waiting for Dr DG Dawson to read a recent response and update the status.

Dear Environment Agency,

The London Borough of Merton has asecretive Technical Advisory Steering Group for their Wimbledon Park Lake Project and they list the Environment Agency as serving on this committee. Unfortunately, the summaries and minutes of the Group lack sufficient detail to answer my questions.

A major part of the project is the proposed de-silting of the lake and LB Merton claims that this would have benefits to water quality and flood risk, subjects on which the Agency has expertise.

I ask for details of attendance of representatives of the Agency at the meetings of Wimbledon Park Lake Technical Advisory Steering Group and the substance of any technical advice given on lake water quality and flood risk in relation to sediment in the lake. I do not need to know the identity of those attending, just the details of dates and the substance of the advice.

I do not wish to be burdensome, so I'm happy to have the information in whatever format is most easy for you.

Looking forward to your assistance with this matter.

Yours sincerely,

Dr DG Dawson, 80 Home Park Road, London

Dear Enquiries, Unit,
Your reference: 191125/ER15

I note that there has been no reply within the statutory period to my Freedom of Information request .
As my request is straightforward, I think it would be silly to have to refer it to the Information Commissioner, so I ask you to expedite the reply.

Yours sincerely,

Dr DG Dawson

Dear KSL Enquiries,
I have been given a reason for failure to reply within the statutory period (a busy work programme) which is not valid within the law. I see no good reason why I should not refer this to the information commiussioner.
