2. What is the total amount of government funding provided to the Local authority adoption team per annum?
3. From this total amount how much money is allocated to the provision of post adoption counselling/therapeutic support for birth parents?

support to birth parents following adoption? Adopt Thames Valley Regional
Adoption Agency

2. What is the total amount of government funding provided to the Local
authority adoption team per annum? I am not clear about this question?
Birth relative support sits within the Permanence Support side of Adopt
Thames Valley. The annual budget for Permanence Support in 2021/22 was
£1,361,800

 

3. From this total amount how much money is allocated to the provision of
post adoption counselling/therapeutic support for birth parents? Adopt
Thames Valley has 1.8fte Senior practitioners to provide post adoption
counselling/therapeutic support for Birth parents. One full time worker
provides this support to birth parents in 6 of the local authorities
(including West Berks) served by Adopt Thames Valley and the other worker
provides this support to birth parents in the other local authority served
by Adopt Thames Valley. The cost of these posts is £76,705 plus on costs. 
For further information you should contact Adopt Thames Valley.
