Academic staff contracts

Roedd y cais yn rhannol lwyddiannus.

Dear St Edmund Hall,

1) Total number of academic staff employed by the college (staff categories 1-3 according to the staff classification guide).

Of that total, can I have the absolute numbers and percentages who are:
2) Teaching only (category 1).
3) Research only (category 2).
4) Research and teaching (category 3).

Then can I have these categories broken down by contract type, i.e.: the number and percentage of all academic staff who are on permanent contracts, fixed-term contracts, casual contracts; and the same data for categories 1, 2, and 3 individually.

Finally, can I have these contract types broken down by ethnicity and gender, that is, the number and percentage of permanent staff, fixed-term staff, and casual staff who are: men, and women; BAME, and white.

Could I please have this data for the academic years: 2012/13, 2017/18, 2018/19, and 2019/20.

Yours faithfully,

Ben O'Brien

Dear Ben

Just an update on this one - we are still gathering this information. It is taking longer than expected as we are having to extract the data from some older databases.
More information to follow asap.
