A new pedestrian bridge for Harringay railway station?

Roedd y cais yn llwyddiannus.

Dear Network Rail Limited,

ARE there any plans by Network Rail, or any other body, to replace the current pedestrian bridge that runs past Harringay railway station please?

The present unhappy bridge runs between two cul-de-sacs, viz, the ends of Quernmore Road N4, Stroud Green Ward and Railway Approach N4, Harringay Ward.

► The easternmost end is unreasonably steep for everyone including the elderly, infirm or disabled
► The steepness is a problem year-round, but at no time more so than in winter
► It is overly steep for any wheeled devices including prams, scooters, bicycles, wheelchairs or wheeled suitcases and shopping baskets
► Both ends of the bridge are also too narrow for most of these wheeled devices
► The moped-blocking fences at either end are crude and frustrate more than the intended
► Also, there is no separation anywhere for bicycles and pedestrians

This is one of only three main railway line crossing points between Finsbury Park and Hornsey stations – the others being Endymion Road and a pedestrian bridge at Oxford Road.

If there any plans of any kind, please supply any relevant information.

If not, should there not be?!

Thank you.

Yours faithfully,

Clive Carter
