A copy of HR policy related to overseas recruitment
Dear University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust,
I'm aware that the University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust does not hire overseas health and care professionals if the job they successfully applied for is below Band 5. (The rules for sponsorship set by UKVI do not contain any references to the bands and permit to issue a certificate of sponsorship to anyone whose job falls into listed ONS codes and salary is above the threshold for a specific code).
HR Department cites this document but it is not in the public domain and can't be therefore reviewed or, if needed, challenged.
Would it be possible to receive copies of the internal HR guidelines related to hiring overseas health and care professionals
Yours faithfully,
Natalia Savelova

In response to the question around the HR policy used to determine
eligibility for issuing a Skilled Worker visa under the Health and Social
Care category UHCW will refer to the Home Office UKVI Guidance on
sponsoring a skilled worker [1]Sponsor a Skilled Worker
(publishing.service.gov.uk), in each and every instance.
In terms of the ONS codes and salary thresholds please see page 22.
When we are sponsoring an individual we will review candidates against the
follow categories detailed within the sponsor a skilled worker guidance,
• Salary
• shortage occupation
• new entrant
• listed health or education occupation
This will then determine the salary required and the going rate for the
occupational code.
As we have provided the information that we do hold your request is now
closed. We trust that this is satisfactory but if you are dissatisfied
with the way that it has been handled you have the right to ask for an
internal review. Internal review requests should be submitted within two
months of the date of receipt of the response to your original letter and
should be addressed to: David Walsh, Director of Corporate Affairs,
University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire NHS Trust, Clifford Bridge
Road, Coventry CV2 2DX.
If you are not content with the outcome of the internal review, you have
the right to apply directly to the Information Commissioner for a
decision. The Information Commissioner can be contacted at: Information
Commissioner’s Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9
