A6MARR Mitigation High Lane - consultation boards and reports

In 2017 the Council consulted on mitigation measures for High Lane to reduce the impact of the opening of the A6 Manchester Airport Relief Road. This included redesigning the Windlehurst Road/Buxton Road junction, adding a southbound left turn lane.

Please provide copies of in full of the following:

1. Consultation boards (including highways design plans) as presented during the two consultation events in High Lane.
2. Consultation reports produced following the events, including appendices.
3. Comments received from the Cycle User Group relating to the proposals
4. Comments received from local councillors relating to the proposals
5. Comments received from High Lane Residents Association relating to the proposals
6. Comments received from the Marple Area Committee relating to the proposals
7. A copy of the final scheme designs as recommended for approval/refusal by the Marple Area Committee

Stockport MBC is currently handling a significant amount of ongoing information requests.
We are unable at this present time to confirm whether we will be able to provide the information requested within the statutory time frame.

Please be advised the information returned may not be complete in whole or in part. This is due to government wide measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19,

There is a large volume of business critical work ongoing, including the possibility of staff in non-critical roles being reallocated to operational roles.

We are currently focussing our efforts toward the protection and safeguarding of high risk groups, the public and our staff during the COVID-19 outbreak, and as such the business area may not be able to provide full information for the completion of the Freedom of the Information request.

I trust, during this difficult time, you will understand this position. If you are dissatisfied, we would advise you re submit your request in 3-6 months time, where we may be in a position to confirm our response or provide further information.

We appreciate the support of the public and media in keeping requests to a manageable amount during this time.”

There was no public event for the junction proposals specifically. The
junction proposals were presented at events held as part of the wider
proposals for High Lane.

The plan included as Appendix A and the ‘Speed Management Measure
Information’ in Appendix C were displayed at the exhibitions on 25^th
November and 5^th December 2015.
