The University has now considered your request and unfortunately we are
unable to provide you with the information at this time.
This is because the information requested at question 6 is not available
to extract in an automated way. The School of Medical Sciences does not
record, transcribe or otherwise extract qualification data from the UCAS
forms and therefore to retrieve this information to be able to respond to
your question would require a manual re-evaluation of all of the
individual UCAS forms. Due to the number of application forms it has been
determined that this task would take in excess of the 18 hour ‘Appropriate
Limit’ (as defined in the Freedom of Information and Data Protection
(Appropriate Limit and Fees) Regulations 2004), Section 12 of the Freedom
of Information Act 2000 applies and regrettably this task cannot be
undertaken at this stage. As per the Home Office’s Freedom of Information
Code of Practice, once one part of a request exceeds the limit, we are not
obliged to respond to any of the request. This email serves to act as a
refusal notice for this request, as per S.17 (5) of the Act.
I am able to advise you of the following information provided by the
School of Medical Sciences in relation to questions 1 to 5 of your
request. This information is provided as a gesture of goodwill however it
does not affect the University’s legal right to rely on the Fees
Regulations for the remainder of your request.

We do not apply weightings to any element of the selection process. We do
not read the UCAS personal statement.
4. Offer making is determined entirely by interview performance.
5. Use of the SJT band is explained on our website

Having a higher SJT score be an advantage if an application is reviewed
through our holistic route.
